1906

Thomas Charles Pullinger and family living in Beeston because that was where Humber factory was[1]. But it closed[2] in 1907 as unprofitable. Some 3,000 workers and their families moved to Coventry!

Pullinger was offered the managership at Coventry but when he suggested to its board that the place had 1,000 too many workers who should be dismissed, the board disagreed and he left in 1908.

Pullinger’s son Marcel Henri was born in Nottingham.
